Aviation consulting firms and advisers

1,459 companies across 60 countries. Updated 27 October 2026.

Aviation consultants sell expertise that an operator, buyer or lender does not keep in-house. The most common services are aircraft appraisals and valuations, pre-purchase and technical inspections, fleet and asset management, regulatory and certification support, and expert witness work in disputes. Clients include lessors, banks, insurers, airlines, flight departments, private owners and law firms.

For valuation work, ask whether the appraiser is accredited, for example by ISTAT or the American Society of Appraisers. For regulatory work, look for staff with direct experience of the relevant authority, such as EASA, the FAA or a national CAA, and of the aircraft types involved.

Consultants in the directory

We list 44 aviation consulting firms. The largest groups are in Zimbabwe (3), the United Kingdom (2), Canada (2) and Taiwan (2), with the rest spread across Europe, Asia and the Americas.

Consultants often work alongside aircraft financing companies, aircraft sales brokers and aviation attorneys on a transaction. Our article on why buyers and lenders skip aircraft appraisals covers one of the main services in this category.
