S.A.F.E. Structure Designs is a United States defence contractor, based in Las Vegas, Nevada, that designs, engineers and manufactures ergonomic, safety-first support equipment for the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard and special operations forces. Its website says it is an ISO 9001:2015 company with seven manufacturing facilities in the United States, and that it is a GSA contractor holder. Its work covers air, land, sea and space, from build-to-spec production to concept design, prototyping and onsite assembly.

Approach

The company describes a three-step model of design, engineer and manufacture. It says it offers collaborative design with its engineers, with no non-recurring engineering fees, to define fit, form and function, and uses in-house engineering and analysis to turn a concept into a manufacturable, compliant product. Manufacturing is done under firm fixed-price contracts. Every product falls into one of eight divisions: mobility systems, maritime systems, aviation systems, infrastructure systems, defence systems, engineering, critical minerals and autonomous systems.

• A portable, wind-rated shade canopy for flight-line crews
• Patented ERFS rollers and shoring that let CH-47 Chinook crews load and secure internal auxiliary fuel tanks

Other featured projects

Projects shown on the site include a custom naval floating berthing platform for aircraft carrier operations, a floating landing pad for launching and recovering VTOL aircraft alongside surface vessels underway, the AKINA deep water camel, a submarine fendering and berthing system, and a one-person remote-controlled tracked loader for moving palletised cargo over rough or wet terrain. It also lists strong back missile support equipment load-tested to 110,000 pounds for the Naval Surface Warfare Center, and a modular equipment rack offered in 13 configurations for utility vehicles and trucks.
