Alderman and Company is an investment bank founded in 2001 that focuses exclusively on sell-side mergers and acquisitions for middle-market companies in the aerospace and defence industry. Based at 170 East Granada Boulevard, Ormond Beach, Florida, the privately owned firm represents boards, shareholders, lenders, creditors and other stakeholders of smaller privately held companies, smaller divisions of large corporations and mid-size portfolio companies of private equity firms across sectors including defence and business aviation. Founding partner William H. (Bill) Alderman is a graduate of the Kellogg School of Management and Kenyon College, a commercial pilot with more than 30 years of flying experience who operates a Cirrus SR-22 and flies as a command pilot for SkyHope, and has been quoted as an industry expert by Aviation Week, Bloomberg, Reuters and The Washington Post.

The firm cites more than 25 years of sales process experience and client testimonials from Gremada Industries, LCR Embedded Systems, Shaw Aero Devices and Soundair, as well as the sale of a privately owned commercial aviation MRO business to a private equity fund with more than USD 25 billion under management. Partner emeritus Bruce Andrews, who joined in 2004, previously led and sold AGC Incorporated, a military engine components manufacturer, to Loar Group, led GenMech Manufacturing to its sale to SPX and was chief executive of Monitor Aerospace. Because it carries no corporate overheads, the firm says it can work with smaller companies and is not driven by short-term results.
