About Compañía Española de Técnica Aeronáutica
CETA is an aerospace company based in Madrid, Spain. Its full name is Compañía Española de Técnica Aeronáutica S.A. The company was founded in 1961 to work on everything related to aeronautical technology. Today it offers aerospace consultancy and engineering services.
In its early years the company ran a fleet of 16 aircraft from San Jerónimo airfield in Córdoba. The site says the General Directorate of Civil Aviation issued Aeronautical Maintenance Centre Certificate No. 6 to CETA in February 1963. This allowed the company to overhaul airframes, engines, propellers, accessories and instruments.
The site says CETA became the first private avionics and instruments workshop in Spain. It also says the company led aerial pest control, fire prevention and fire suppression in Spain during the 1970s. In the 1980s it installed Spain's first private aerial photogrammetry equipment.
During the 1990s, CETA worked as an air taxi operator. The site says it introduced the first business jets of this kind in Spain, Learjet 25 and 35 models, from a service point at Barajas Terminal 2. The company also became a supplier of aircraft to the Spanish Armed Forces and was the first to introduce avionic GPS solutions.
In the 2000s the site says CETA built a high-performance technical structure for design organization work. It says the company completed high-complexity DOA and MDOA designs and certifications. It also says CETA was the first Spanish company to deploy tactical RPAS to an operational theatre, in 2007.
Today the site says CETA is specialized in aerospace consultancy and engineering. It lists unmanned aerial systems, also called RPAS or UAS, as a focus area. The site also says the company is certified to ISO 9001 and 9120.
The contact page lists an office at C/ Cañas, 7 in Madrid, a phone number, +34 911 400 181, and a contact form. The site also has a newsletter sign up and a LinkedIn page. The quality policy and general purchasing and sales conditions are published on the site.
