Radiation Analysis Services Ltd (RASL)

Radiation Analysis Services Ltd (RASL) is a UK consultancy that specialises in space environment radiation effects. Founded in 2016 by Thomas Clatworthy, it supports satellite and equipment makers, from start-ups to large primes, with radiation analysis and assurance at component, equipment and satellite level, for NewSpace, full ECSS and military projects. It also supports bids and proposals.

Missions and customers

RASL has worked on Galileo IOV and FOC, NovaSAR, Quantum, ExoMars, Inmarsat-6, Sentinel 1, MetOp, Solar Orbiter, Comet Interceptor, EarthCARE, TANGO, ARIEL, the Gateway ERSA payload and the Canadarm3 pan-tilt unit, and ESA missions from Class I to Class IV. Customers named on its site include Airbus Defence and Space, SSTL, Teledyne e2v, BAE Space, Astroscale, ISISpace, ClearSpace, Spire, NanoAvionics and the University of Oxford.
