Black River Aerospace
Customised FAA aviation manuals and compliance support, US
About Black River Aerospace
Black River Aerospace develops customized aviation manuals for aircraft operators in the United States. Each manual is written after a discussion of the operator's size and scope. The company does not use pre made templates, and it tailors each manual to the operation it serves.
It serves owners and operators of Part 135 aircraft. It also writes manuals for Part 91 and Part 133 operations, and it offers Part 141 training course outlines. The company helps clients through the FAA certification process and produces digital aviation compliance manuals.
Its manual products include Part 135 operations manuals, a General Operations Manual, a General Maintenance Manual, training manuals, a Minimum Equipment List, International Operations and RVSM manuals, safety manuals, and hazardous materials and electronic flight bag manuals. It also offers winter operations, drug and alcohol, and aircraft training manuals.
Manuals are hosted on webmanuals, a cloud based manual writing system. Operators can read and revise their manuals from any device. Black River Aerospace applies regulation changes, and operators can make their own changes in many cases through the Manual Management System.
Operators can pay a one time fee for a manual. Under that option, the company provides all FAA required revisions free of charge until the manual is approved. Later revisions carry a small service charge. An annual fee covers hosting on webmanuals and future updates.
An International Revision Service for IOM manuals can be bought on its own. Subscribers receive automatic manual updates that reflect the latest guidance and requirements in the aviation industry. The company says it manages all revisions required by the FAA and the operator until a manual is approved.
Business services include pilot and maintenance training records organization, aircraft document organization, recurrent training reminders, maintenance records storage, electronic record keeping, policy and procedure processes, technology training, team development and time management. Consultations are free of charge, and clients are invited to ask questions before they buy. The website also links to webmanuals, FAA news and updates, and NBAA news for industry readers.
