Terms and conditions
Last updated 13 October 2026
These terms apply to everyone who uses theflyingengineer.com ("Flying Engineer", "we", "us"), operated by Publishing Office SRL, Calea Turzii 111c, ap. 6, Cluj-Napoca, Romania. By using the site, creating an account or buying a plan, you agree to them.
1. What Flying Engineer is
Flying Engineer is a directory of aviation and aerospace companies, with articles about aviation. We help people find companies and help companies get found. We are not a party to any deal between a visitor and a listed company: we don't sell flights, parts, training or any other listed service, and we don't guarantee the work of any company on the site. Always check a company's licences, approvals and terms before you hire or buy.
2. Information on the site
We write company pages from public information and from what companies send us, and we check articles against primary sources. Even so, details change and mistakes happen. Information on the site is for general guidance only and is not professional, legal, safety or financial advice. If something is wrong, tell us through the correction and removal form and we will fix it.
3. Accounts
You need an account to claim a listing or buy a plan. Keep your login details safe, give us accurate information, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
4. Company listings
- A company may claim its listing if it can show it represents that company, for example with an email address on the company's own domain.
- When you add or edit a listing, you confirm the information is accurate and that you have the right to use any text, logos and photos you upload.
- Listings must be about aviation or aerospace businesses. We can edit, refuse or remove listings that are inaccurate, misleading, off-topic or that break the law or these terms.
- Any company can ask us to correct or remove its listing, whether or not it has claimed it.
5. Quote requests and enquiries
How a request is delivered depends on where you send it, and each form says so before you send:
- Company pages with an active plan: your request goes straight to that company.
- Other company pages: your request comes to us first. We tell the company that a customer is asking (without your contact details) and may pass your request to that company or to other suitable companies, so you get an answer.
- Quote requests from category and route pages: they come to us, and we match them with suitable companies.
A company that receives your request handles it under its own terms. We keep a copy to deliver the service and to stop spam.
6. Paid plans
- Starter is billed yearly and renews automatically each year until you cancel. You can cancel any time by emailing info@theflyingengineer.com; the plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
- Lifetime and Featured are one-off payments with no renewal. 30-day money-back guarantee: if you are not happy with a Lifetime or Featured plan, email info@theflyingengineer.com within 30 days of paying and we refund you in full.
- Prices are shown on the plans page before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
- Paid plans improve how your listing is shown. They do not guarantee a number of visitors, enquiries, sales or search positions, and paid placements are labelled.
- If something isn't right with a purchase, contact us at info@theflyingengineer.com and we will look at it. Consumers keep any rights they have under the law of their country.
7. Links and sponsored content
We do not sell links or guest posts. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for those websites. Paid placements on the site are labelled.
8. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the site. That includes sending spam or fake enquiries, scraping the directory in bulk, trying to break into accounts or systems, uploading harmful code, or impersonating another person or company.
9. Intellectual property
The site's design, articles and directory are owned by us or our licensors. You may read, share links to and quote short parts of our content with a link back. Companies keep the rights to the content they upload and give us permission to show it on the site and in our social media posts about their listing.
10. Liability
We provide the site "as is". As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by a listed company, a third-party website, or reliance on information on the site. Our total liability for a paid plan is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the previous 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Changes and suspension
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
12. Law and contact
These terms are governed by Romanian law, and the courts of Cluj-Napoca have jurisdiction, without taking away any rights consumers have in their own country. Questions: info@theflyingengineer.com.
