About aircraft parts suppliers

Aircraft parts suppliers and distributors

Aircraft parts suppliers sell the spares that keep aircraft flying: rotable components, engines and engine parts, avionics, hardware, consumables and ground support equipment. Some are authorised distributors for manufacturers, others trade in overhauled and used serviceable parts, and many offer exchange and AOG (aircraft on ground) service around the clock. Buyers are mainly maintenance organisations, airlines and aircraft operators.

Traceability is the first thing to check. Installable parts should come with an airworthiness release such as an EASA Form 1 or FAA Form 8130-3, plus documented history back to the manufacturer or last overhaul. Distributors accredited to ASA-100 or AS9120 follow recognised quality and traceability standards. Also confirm the part condition (new, overhauled, serviceable or as removed) and whether it is OEM or a PMA alternative.

There are 121 parts suppliers listed. Countries with the most listings include the United Kingdom (4), Lithuania (3), Morocco (3), Canada (2) and France (2). They include:

Parts buyers usually also work with aircraft maintenance companies and aviation logistics providers for AOG shipping. For new-build components, see aerospace manufacturers, and for used material from retired aircraft, aircraft salvage and recycling. Our aircraft parts suppliers directory guide and article on aviation supply chain management go into more detail.
