Tulsa Innovation Labs

Tulsa Innovation Labs is an economic development group in the Tulsa region. The site calls it a tech-led organization that aims to secure Tulsa's lead in industries of the future. It is the backbone of Tulsa's Tech Hub, a nationally designated effort that brings together more than 70 partners.

Aerospace and defense are two of the key sectors for the region, along with energy and manufacturing. The site says regional strength in these fields helped win nearly a quarter of a billion dollars in investment through programs of the Economic Development Administration, plus matching funds. The group says this money helps local innovators bring ideas to market.

The site lists some numbers. It names more than 1,200 square miles of flight testing and simulation space for unmanned aircraft systems. It names more than 112,000 square feet of facilities for innovation. It also says more than 6,000 people have been trained or upskilled through its workforce programs.

The group describes how it works as capital, connections, contracts and solutions. It speaks to leaders, developers, entrepreneurs and engineers. It has separate contacts for local and national businesses, higher education institutions, community organizations and government entities. For businesses it works on funding options, ways to bring products to market, and workforce programs led by employers. For colleges it builds programs that match training to industry needs.

The website has a contact form, a get involved page and a careers page. Visitors can reach team members who handle partnerships and outreach.
