Aviation companies in Europe

5,393 companies across 63 categories. Updated 24 October 2026.

Civil aviation in the European Union is governed by common rules from EASA, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency, which national authorities apply locally. The same pilot licences and operator approvals are valid across member states. The United Kingdom left the EASA system after Brexit and is now regulated by its own Civil Aviation Authority. Business aviation is busiest at airports such as Paris Le Bourget, Farnborough, Geneva and Nice. Airbus assembles airliners in Toulouse and Hamburg, while Dassault in France and Pilatus in Switzerland build business aircraft.

We list 700 companies in Europe. The largest groups are flight schools (221), air ambulance and repatriation services (104), aviation software companies (72), aviation attorneys (41) and aviation startups (39), followed by aircraft design firms (36) and aircraft insurance providers (33).
