Freyssinet Aero

Freyssinet Aero is a French aerospace manufacturing group based at Couffouleux in the Tarn, presenting itself as an integrated industrial partner for an optimised supply chain. Created in 1994, it has grown through the progressive integration of strategic expertise, by acquisition, creation of new activities and organisational structuring, to offer a complete value chain for aeronautics and space, defence, motorsport and other industries, while keeping a strong, geographically concentrated industrial footprint in France that shortens logistics lead times and strengthens control of every production stage. The company is an SAS with share capital of 1,416,000 euros.

Capabilities

• Machining of hard metals on 4 and 5-axis centres and of light alloys on 5-axis machines, with capacity for parts of around 600 mm cube, Y-axis lathes, twin-spindle, twin-turret and multifunction machines, giving short lead times
• Titanium foundry and surface treatment through the Freyssinet Aero Coating entity
• Metal additive manufacturing in house by laser powder bed fusion for complex, lightweight and optimised shapes, with processes qualified by Safran and prototyping support from development to functional validation
• A Speedshop for urgent and short-run work, and integration of digital twins, augmented reality, 3D printing, smart flow management and automation to improve precision, responsiveness and efficiency

Quality and laboratory

• EN 9100 and ISO 9001 certification for its entities including Freyssinet Aero Coating, with ISO 14001 and Nadcap logos shown on its site
• An integrated laboratory operated since 2022 for all subsidiaries, covering metallography (micro-cutting, mounting, polishing, optical microscopy and image analysis of porosity, inclusions and treatment depth), chemical composition analysis by X-ray fluorescence, non-destructive testing, coating thickness measurement, control of surface treatment baths and slurries, microbiological control and characterisation of heat and surface treated test specimens
• A continuous improvement approach based on Plan-Do-Check-Act cycles and in-house resources to develop and qualify new special processes
