FlightDataPeople, also called FDP, makes aviation safety software and offers related services. Its main tools are cloud-based. FDM360 is a Flight Data Monitoring system. SMS360 is a Safety Management System. The company also offers training, consulting and recruitment for the aviation industry.

Flight Data Monitoring means studying data recorded during flights to spot safety trends. A Safety Management System is the set of processes an organization uses to find and control safety risks. FDP says FDM360 turns raw data into useful information. It calls SMS360 an enterprise system built for efficiency.

The company began as a Flight Data Monitoring service for British Airways and other airlines. That service used British Airways Flight Data Analysis, known as BAFDA. In 2013 the company added safety management software. It says it is the first and currently the only software provider to produce both FDM and SMS products.

The company says people matter more than hardware and software in safety work. It put the word people in its name for this reason. The team has experience in safety, quality and risk management, flight data monitoring, flight operations and engineering. One founder, Paul, was a software development manager at British Airways Flight Operations. He worked on systems such as BASIS, HOMP and BAFDA. HOMP is a flight data monitoring system for helicopter operators. Another team member, Peter, has over 45 years in aviation and once led Teledyne Controls at London Heathrow.

Training courses are described as made to fit each organization. The company also offers help to build in-house safety expertise. It uses its network of aviation professionals to help clients find staff.
