Volaire Aviation Consulting

Volaire Aviation Consulting is a consultancy based in Fishers, Indiana. It works with airports and the communities they serve on air service development, airport marketing and strategic business planning. The clients are airports and their communities, not airlines.

The company says its team has more than 200 years of combined experience in air service recruitment, airport strategic business planning and airport marketing. The team includes airline planners and airport marketers, and the company says it understands the US federal rules on using airport funds to promote a route.

Air service development work includes strategic air service planning, airline schedule analysis, airport cost analysis, diversion and leakage analysis, and airline pricing structure analysis. The company builds business cases for new routes to put to airlines. Its leakage studies show how many local passengers drive to other airports, and why.

Research and support work covers economic impact analysis, which shows how airport money flows through a regional economy. It also covers incentive policy development, governance studies, corporate travel assessments and financial support packages, which often use minimum revenue guarantee programs.

The air service development team has written Small Community Air Service Development grants since the program began. The website says the team has won more than 20 million dollars in funding for airports in the last 15 years.

Marketing services include marketing strategy for airports and new routes, creative development and branding, community outreach, and route launch promotions and events.
