National Flight Services

National Flight Services is an aircraft maintenance company and repair station based in Swanton, Ohio. The company says it services aircraft, engines and helicopters, and that it has been in business for 64 years. It started in 1960 as a fixed base operator at National Airport in Toledo. In 1969 it moved to Toledo Express Airport in Swanton.

The company offers scheduled and unscheduled airframe maintenance, aircraft inspections, structural repairs and modifications, engine conversions, troubleshooting and aircraft on ground support. It also offers custom interiors and support for business aviation and special mission aircraft. AOG support is available with a rapid response.

TPE331 engines are a major part of the work. The company says it has more than 30 years of experience on these engines. It offers maintenance, repair, overhaul and hot section work, and it also serves the military version of the engine, the T76. Honeywell named the company a Heavy Authorized Service Center and Accessory Overhaul Center, and a BGA Channel Partner of the Year. Honeywell also made it the sole licensee worldwide for Twin Commander 5 to 10T engine conversions.

Helicopter work covers Airbus, Bell, Robinson and AgustaWestland helicopters at its Toledo repair station. Avionics services include inspection, maintenance, repair and installation. The company is a Free Flight Systems dealer and offers radar altimeter installations. Mobile technicians perform ADS-B installations and troubleshooting across the United States.

National Flight Services says it is an authorized repair station under the FAA, EASA, DGCA and ANAC. It has a component facility in Holland, Ohio. It has also opened a location in Lakeland, Florida, for airframe maintenance, repair, inspection and modification work.
