AC Air Technology
Portable remote-control aircraft tugs designed in Chino, California
About AC Air Technology
AC Air Technology designs and sells portable remote control aircraft tugs from its base in Chino, California. The company states that its tracked tugs are the first patented remote control aircraft tugs in the world. The tugs are driven by electric motors and steered with a radio remote control. One person can use them to move an aircraft in and out of a hangar or around other aircraft safely.
The company builds tugs for a wide range of aircraft sizes and landing gear types. Its products work with nose wheel, tail wheel, single wheel, and dual wheel nose gear aircraft. The online contact form asks customers about steep inclines, wheel fairings, and rough terrain so the team can suggest the right model for the hangar and plane.
The compact tug line includes the AC TrackTech T1V2 for aircraft up to 3,500 pounds gross weight. The T1V2 is built for non wheel fairing airplanes with tire sizes from 5 by 5 to 6 by 6 inches. The company also lists a T Mini model for aircraft up to 2,000 pounds. Medium tugs include the T1X2 with an adjustable cradle, the T1X3 with a lazy susan platform, and the T1X4 with a stowable feature. These medium models fit aircraft that need extra maneuverability in tight spaces.
Large tugs include the T1.7 with a lazy susan and full size features. The line also includes the T2V3 for single wheel nose gear and the T2W3 for dual wheel nose gear. For helicopters, the company offers the T1H2 and T1H3 remote control tugs. Optional LED lights are available in the accessories collection for added visibility.
The company also sells accessories, spare parts, and apparel. It provides service and parts for each tug model through dedicated service pages. The website includes a product selector to help customers choose the right tug. The company maintains a showroom with hours Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. Visitors can see the tugs and ask questions during these times.
