Aviation companies in the United States

7,604 companies across 63 categories. Updated 21 October 2026.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulates civil aviation in the United States, from pilot certificates and flight schools to charter operators flying under Part 135. The country has the largest general and business aviation sector in the world, with private jet traffic concentrated at airports such as Teterboro in New Jersey, Van Nuys in California and Palm Beach in Florida. Wichita, Kansas, has long been the centre of light and business aircraft production, Gulfstream builds its jets in Savannah, Georgia, and Boeing's commercial aircraft come from the Seattle area.

We list 1,658 US companies. The largest groups are flight schools (660), aviation attorneys (151), private jet charter companies (134), aviation startups (114) and air ambulance services (113), followed by avionics companies (90) and aircraft financing firms (72).
