Jonathan Group Aerospace

Jonathan Group Aerospace designs and manufactures precision linear motion, rotational motion and fastening hardware for aircraft interiors. It is the aerospace arm of Jonathan Group, a North American manufacturer of electronics packaging and motion systems that operates eight business units across the United States, with more than 65 design and manufacturing engineers, machining and fabrication operations, prototyping and high-volume capacity. The group's customers include large organisations in the defence, aerospace and commercial sectors.

Jonathan Engineered Solutions

Jonathan Engineered Solutions (JES) makes what the group describes as the lightest and quietest aircraft interior movement hardware on the market, and has developed a comprehensive line of products for business and commercial aircraft cabins. Already established in galley, lavatory and cabin applications, JES products include:

• Telescoping slide rails
• Extractors for galley inserts and equipment
• Pocket door solutions
• Linear motion mechanisms for seating, monuments and stowage

Saint Louis Designs

Saint Louis Designs, also part of the group, designs and fabricates hidden hardware, custom accessories and rotational mechanisms for cabin interiors. It is known for its cabinet latches and bespoke solutions, and its alloy research has produced high-load latches that are now standard on a number of interior programmes. Its range covers hinges, latches, pushers and precision mechanisms.

Manufacturing

Jonathan Group states that its vertical integration gives it control over design, quality, delivery and cost, and that its mechanical integration services are used by large defence, aerospace and commercial organisations. The group operates from facilities across the United States, each contributing its core competencies, and offers prototyping through high-volume production.
