Yokohama Aerospace America

Yokohama Aerospace America is the US arm of The Yokohama Rubber Company. It is based in Kent, Washington, and delivers certified retrofit and cabin solutions for aircraft interiors. Its customers include airlines, MRO companies and leasing companies around the world.

Its lavatory modules are designed for linefit and retrofit aircraft programmes. The FAA PMA certified designs cover many lavatory positions on the Boeing 737NG and 757 families. The company also showed a new generation lavatory for narrow body aircraft at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg in 2026.

Retrofit kits and heavy check kits refresh cabin interiors and replace high wear parts. They are designed for efficient installation and long service life, without major structural change. The company says each kit comes with fully traceable documentation and installation guidance.

Lavatory upgrades include a touchless flush switch, a touchless faucet, a foot-operated waste flap, and a smart mirror with LED lighting and an integrated call button. These can be installed on their own or as part of a larger retrofit or heavy check.

Yokohama also supplies lightweight composite potable and waste water tanks for Boeing aircraft other than the 787, along with composite panels and interior monuments. Its components are designed and manufactured to meet FAA, PMA and OEM requirements.

Support services include retrofit and aircraft modification support from engineering through certification, spare parts stocked at the Kent warehouse, and an AOG response team that aims to reply within four hours. Component maintenance manuals and technical documentation are available online.
