Proponent is the world's largest independent, employee owned distributor of aircraft parts and supplies. The company grew out of a partnership between Kapco Global and Avio Diepen, combining nearly 50 years of aerospace expertise. It has operated as an employee owned business for more than 30 years. Its product portfolio covers airframe components, consumables and expendables, hardware, electrical interconnect products, seals, engine parts, and interior parts. For customers, Proponent offers AOG support, intelligent stocking, custom kitting, consignment programs, vendor consolidation, and customer warranty and repair administration. The ProCart online platform allows customers to purchase parts directly. These services are designed to help keep aircraft fleets flying.

For suppliers, the company provides global aircraft parts distribution, manufacturing capabilities, PMA capabilities, custom storefronts, and supplier warranty and repair administration. Proponent works closely with suppliers to provide insights into the aftermarket and help them grow their businesses.

The company maintains a global presence to serve multiple regions. Its corporate headquarters and largest warehouse are located in Brea, California. It also operates five additional facilities across the United States. In Europe, operations are run from an office near Amsterdam in the Netherlands, with further offices in Spain and Germany and a distribution facility in the United Kingdom. These locations support customers across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

In Asia Pacific, Proponent operates a facility in Hong Kong and maintains its Asian headquarters and third largest warehouse in Singapore. The Singapore location opened in 2020 and supports the growing Asia Pacific customer base. Proponent is also an authorized distributor of ExxonMobil aviation lubricants in the Americas and has earned CMMC Level 2 certification for several business units.
