Port City Air

Port City Air (PCA) is a full-service, 24/7 fixed-base operator and aviation services company at Portsmouth International Airport at Pease (KPSM) on the New Hampshire coast, an hour's drive from Boston. For more than a quarter of a century it has served business jet operators, scheduled and charter airlines, cargo freighters, importers and exporters and US and foreign military units, promising big airport capabilities with small airport convenience, and it is a member of the Paragon Network of FBOs. Through its FAR Part 145 repair station PCA provides turbine and piston maintenance for fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters and a full avionics shop, and since 2020 it has offered 24/7 mobile AOG services for business jets across New England.

Airport infrastructure

• An 11,321 by 150 foot runway fully reconstructed in 2020 at a joint civil and military FAA Part 139 airport with 24/7 operations, air traffic control and ARFF index E rescue cover, and unlimited weight-bearing capacity for general aviation, commercial, cargo and military aircraft
• A US Customs port of entry able to clear high passenger counts using hardstand or jet bridge operations, 150 acres of unrestricted-weight parking aprons and a newly expanded 55,000 square foot commercial and international terminal with two jet bridges
• A winter operations team with a fleet of GPS-tracked snow removal equipment that can clear the full runway and main taxiways in under 20 minutes

Line service and ground support

• Quick-turn international tech stops, low direct and contract fuel rates, more than 270,000 gallons of Jet A capacity, multiple fuel farms and a large fleet of modern refuellers and deicers, with staff trained to NATA Safety 1st standards and by Titan Aviation Fuels, major air carriers and the Department of Defense
• Ground equipment including 400 Hz GPUs from 120 to 180 kVA, air start units for aircraft from business jets to Boeing 747s, lavatory carts and wide-body lavatory trucks, narrow and wide-body airstairs and belt loaders, towbars for Boeing, Airbus, Embraer and other types, maintenance stands, oxygen and nitrogen service, forklifts and scissor and boom lifts
• Deicing trucks including a 2018 Global ER-2875TE with a 78 foot boom, a 2018 Global 2200TE and a 2015 Textron extended-reach unit with a 65 foot boom, all with Type I and Type IV fluid and hot air, supported by year-round training and a virtual reality deicing simulator

Hangars and facilities

PCA offers five large heated hangars totalling 120,000 square feet for the largest business jets, competitive transient and long-term hangar rates with in-house maintenance, turnkey office space for Part 91 and Part 135 operators with remodelled offices, conference rooms, a kitchenette and showers, concierge customer service and an ongoing sustainability programme.
