About Frequentis

Frequentis is a company that supplies communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. It has more than 75 years of experience. Its work covers five core areas: civil aviation, defence, public safety, maritime and public transport.

Its air traffic management products include voice communication systems for air traffic control, which more than 25,000 air traffic controllers use. Other products cover automation, surveillance, networks, recording, information management and unmanned traffic management. At the heart of its technology is MosaiX, a unified platform that brings its solutions together.

Its focus areas include remote digital towers, accelerated drone management, unified aeronautical communications and ATM-grade networks. Frequentis leads the SESAR project NATICA, which aims to advance next-generation air traffic control systems. With DFS, it is building Phoenix nG, a cloud-native system for flight data processing.

Frequentis also serves airports with Airport SUITE, Airport Airside and Airport Landside products. Its defence work covers secure voice, military air traffic control, digital towers, networks, and command and control. Public safety customers include police, fire and medical emergency centres, and the company equipped Belgian emergency centres with its LifeX system.

In public transport, Frequentis supplies rail communications, including FRMCS platform capabilities for Queensland's rail network in Australia. Its maritime work covers search and rescue, coastal surveillance, port authority and VTS systems, and coastal radio.

Its customers include air navigation service providers such as Airservices Australia, DFS, NAV CANADA and Avinor. Armed forces and government bodies, including the Bundeswehr and the U.S. Navy, are also customers. Frequentis USA has completed production of 15,000 APC communication gateways for the FAA's BNATCS program.

The company is also working on drones and 5G communication. It recently tested 5G drones with Vodafone, DLR and the Rostock Fire Brigade in rescue missions. It also offers professional services, including advisory services, technical and user training, and technical support.
