Adacel

Adacel is a global company in air traffic management and air traffic simulation training. Adacel Systems, Inc. is its US operation in Orlando, Florida. The company says it is the choice of many air navigation service providers around the world. It has served military, defense and security customers, airport authorities and universities for more than 30 years.

Its Aurora air traffic management system is used worldwide. The company says more than 21 percent of the world's airspace is controlled with Aurora. Aurora can be used for oceanic, en route, terminal, approach and tower control, and it is ready for space based ADS-B. It can be scaled and customized to each customer's requirements.

MaxSim is an air traffic control simulator used to train controllers. Its customers include the FAA, NASA, the US Air Force, the US Department of Defense and FAA Collegiate Training Initiative schools. Civil airport authorities in Australia, Austria, Italy and Saudi Arabia also use it, along with customers in many Caribbean countries. In 2026 the company launched the MaxSim 5x5 phraseology trainer.

REVAL is a virtual air traffic control tower system. It covers consulting, system design, development, deployment and support for a move to virtual tower operations. It can be used for single or multiple aerodromes, with remote or onsite support.

Adacel Technical Services, known as ATS, is a wholly owned Adacel company. It provides air traffic control instruction on customer sites. ATS helps develop training curriculums and training schedules, manages instructional projects, runs recurrent training for controllers and recruits experienced controller instructors. Adacel also supports simulator operations and maintenance with technicians on a temporary or permanent basis.

Adacel provides onsite support at more than 20 government facilities across the United States. It also offers custom software development and engineering services.

The company was founded in 1987. It is ISO 9001:2015 certified and appraised at CMMI Level 3 capability. It has offices in Orlando, Montreal and South Melbourne, and it serves customers across North and South America, Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
