L3Harris Technologies is a US defence technology company headquartered in Melbourne, Florida, listed on the New York Stock Exchange as LHX. Since January 2026 it has been organised into three segments: Space and Mission Systems, Communications and Spectrum Dominance, and Missile Solutions. Its aviation work sits mainly in Space and Mission Systems, which covers air special missions, and is carried out largely at aircraft modification centres in Texas.
Aircraft missionization
L3Harris states it has more than 70 years of aircraft missionization experience and has delivered more than 15,000 modified aircraft, including more than 50 business jet ISR aircraft on contract or delivered. Its Greenville, Texas modification centre designed and integrated the ASTOR system on the Bombardier Global Express to create the Royal Air Force Sentinel R1.
