Airbus is a European aerospace group that designs and builds commercial aircraft, helicopters, defence and space systems. It traces its origins to a late-1960s collaboration between aircraft makers in France, Germany, the United Kingdom and Spain; its first aircraft, the A300B1, flew on 28 October 1972. The group is listed as Airbus SE and runs its commercial aircraft business from Blagnac, next to Toulouse-Blagnac Airport.
