Damarel

Damarel supplies software for passenger handling, ground handling and airport security to customers around the world. Its customers are airlines, airports and ground handlers. The company is part of the British Aviation Group. Its products cover check-in, boarding, aircraft weight and balance, business continuity and ground operations.

The main passenger product is L-DCS, a local departure control system for check-in and boarding. It suits low cost carriers, charter airlines and point-to-point operators. Airports of all sizes use it, from large international airports with hundreds of check-in desks to small regional airports with a handful of positions. Operators can run it as a hosted service or install it locally. It works with kiosks, web check-in and other self-service tools. It also supports fast bag drop and self-boarding gates. Border and travel document checks include AQQ, API, eBorders and TIMATIC. L-DCS sends IATA post-departure messages and handles REC and go-show passengers. It has been in use around the world for over 17 years.

Damarel says the L-DCS screen is easy to learn, which lowers agent training costs. It also says the system is simple to adopt and has a low lifetime cost. L-DCS works with an airline's existing web and self-service modules and with third party reservation systems. It is certified on all major common use platforms.

Damarel sells several other products for airlines. Babel CLF is a graphical user interface for airline departure control systems. Embark is a passenger boarding system, and EMBARKmobile does the same job on mobile devices. LodeStone handles aircraft weight and balance. Babel ZIP is a zero integration platform. Backup DCS lets an airline keep processing passengers if its main departure control system fails.

For ground handlers, Damarel offers the FiNDnet suite. Its modules cover operations, services, billing, allocations, mobile use, shift planning, demand planning, dashboards and flight information displays. Damarel says FiNDnet can raise ground handling revenue by up to 5 percent. A next generation FiNDnet adds more features for ground handlers, and FiNDnet Enterprise also offers mobile photo capture. Onet Airport Services is one ground handler named as a user.

Damarel also covers airport security and common use systems. Vanguard supports passenger and airport security and self-service. Aura is a common use product for airports.
