About Moonware

Moonware is a software company that builds AI systems for ground operations at airfields. Its main product is HALO, which the website calls a Ground Traffic Control platform. HALO coordinates each aircraft turnaround in real time, from gate in to gate out.

HALO brings task assignments, timestamps, equipment location, communication, billing and performance into one system. Resource allocation reassigns tasks when schedules or crew availability change. The system accounts for personnel availability and certifications, and only qualified staff are eligible for safety critical tasks.

Digital service capture creates a traceable record from assignment to completion. Each record can include automatic timestamps, photos and signatures. A live airfield map shows flights, personnel, equipment and task progress, and the system supports offline mobile use.

Each flight has its own chat, which connects the relevant personnel automatically. Messages, images, documents and voice notes stay linked to the turnaround. Billing matches captured services to contract terms and produces billing records for finance review and approval. The site lists IATA and custom delay codes and a charge level audit trail.

The website says HALO has captured more than 1.6 million turnaround steps, tracked over 844,000 operations and assigned more than 556,000 tasks. Analytics track on time performance, resource utilization and labor. Customers can measure on time departures, earlier identification of risks, better use of ground equipment and lower avoidable labor costs.

Two case studies appear on the site. An APAC flagship airline identified capacity for 5.5 percent more daily flights without added headcount. A North American ground handler improved on time performance by 5 percent and reduced manual coordination by 30 percent.

Moonware serves airlines, ground handlers, airports, defense users and advanced air mobility operators. The site lists Japan Airlines among its customers and mentions a deployment at LAX. The website also lists a Ground Handling Digital Innovation Award won in 2025. The site also has a demo request form, a blog, a careers page and an ROI calculator for customers who want to estimate returns.
