CLEAR is a US identity verification company whose platform is used physically at airports, stadiums and other venues and digitally online. Chair, chief executive and founder Caryn Seidman Becker acquired the business out of bankruptcy in 2010 and has grown it into a company operating at 62 airports with hundreds of partners and more than 43 million verified users. Its stated mission is to make the journey as joyful as the destination, from airports to arenas, offices and online, and the business operates as Secure Identity, LLC.

• CLEAR+ annual membership giving access to more than 150 CLEAR lanes, where members verify their identity to move faster through airport security; up to three people can be added to one account and members receive partner benefits including expedited passport services and luggage shipping
• New eGates designed to pass members through in under five seconds, and an app-based lane at selected airports for more predictable screening
• TSA PreCheck enrolment and renewal provided by CLEAR without an appointment
• CLEAR Concierge, a premium service with a dedicated ambassador guiding travellers through the airport
• The CLEAR app, which tells travellers when to leave home to reach the gate on time, and CLEAR ID, a free digital ID

Beyond airports

CLEAR1 is the company's enterprise identity product, used by businesses to raise security while reducing friction; a credentialing practice statement is published for it. Consumers can show a QR code in the CLEAR app for faster entry at sports stadiums and arenas, verify their identity on LinkedIn to earn a verified badge, obtain a verified rider badge for Uber drivers, and skip the counter at Avis car rental. Veterans can also sign in to VA.gov with CLEAR. The company recruits problem solvers for roles across engineering, operations and its airport ambassador teams.
