About Big Island Jet Center

Big Island Jet Center is an independent team at Kona International Airport, known as KOA or PHKO. It provides fuel, parking and ground support for private jets, helicopters, shuttle operators and military aircraft on the island of Hawaii.

The company fuels turbine aircraft, including Avfuel contract fuel, and supports other contract fuel programs. Nitrogen and oxygen service is available through PMX Maintenance, and the team can help coordinate maintenance needs in advance.

More than nine acres of parking serve private jets, helicopters, military aircraft and widebody operations. On site equipment includes belt loaders, aircraft stairs, luggage carts, tow vehicles and tow bars for most aircraft. Lavatory and potable water service are available.

Cargo and mission support is arranged by request. The company can coordinate borrowed or rented cargo loaders, forklifts, chiller trucks, water trucks, office trailers and lifts. Equipment depends on availability, so customers should share load dimensions, weights and timing in advance.

Passenger and crew services include catering coordination, hotel and rental car arrangements, and ground transportation. Crew support covers catering assistance, food storage, laundry and dishwashing. The team can also share ideas for dining and activities on Hawaii Island.

Its customers include KaiserAir's Kona and Hawaii shuttles, the Air Force Hurricane Hunters, Sentry Aloha, Boeing flight testing, Stargazer and Stratolaunch operations. It also supports helicopter and air medical operations, including Rainbow Helicopters and REACH Hawaii Life Flight. U.S. Customs and USDA inspection support is also offered.

The team is on site from 08:00 to 17:00 Hawaii time daily, with after hours service available. The airport frequency is 128.825. A new executive terminal is scheduled to open in December 2026.
