Aviation fuel suppliers and into-plane fuelling

204 companies across 36 countries. Updated 21 October 2026.

Aviation fuel companies supply fuel and deliver it to aircraft on the ramp. Turbine aircraft, from turboprops to airliners, burn kerosene-based Jet A-1 (Jet A in the United States), while most piston aircraft use Avgas 100LL. Into-plane fuelling is usually done by a fuel operator at the airport, often working alongside the ground handler or FBO, and customers range from airlines and charter operators to flight schools and private owners. The category also includes refueller manufacturers, fuel testing and fuel management software.

When choosing a fuel supplier, check which grades are stocked at the airport, opening hours and call-out arrangements, how fuel quality is controlled (many operators follow JIG standards, with Jet A-1 produced to DEF STAN 91-091 or ASTM D1655), the payment options such as fuel cards or credit accounts, and whether sustainable aviation fuel can be supplied.

Companies here are based across the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, Estonia, Croatia, Oman, Thailand, India, Switzerland and the Netherlands, among others.

Fuel uplift is normally arranged together with aircraft ground handling at the destination, so it is worth comparing handlers and airports at the same time. Operators planning trips can also browse aircraft charter companies.
