About The Flying High Club

The Flying High Club is an aircraft ownership club for pilots. Its site describes a group of 15 members who share two planes. The club is based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, in the United States.

The club owns a 1973 Piper Cherokee Six, a PA-32-300 with tail number N40784. This is a six-place plane with a fixed gear and a fuel-injected 300-hp Lycoming IO-540 engine. The panel includes a GFC500 autopilot, two G5 flight instruments and a WAAS 430. The site gives the useful load as 1400 pounds.

The second plane is a 1979 Piper Arrow Turbo, a PA-28RT-201 with tail number N2825K. It is a four-place plane with retractable gear and a Continental TSIO-360-FB engine. The site says it cruises at 168 knots at altitude and has a service ceiling of 20,000 feet. A newer panel has two GI275 flight instruments, a GFC500 autopilot and a GTN650xi. The Arrow will be based at Auburn DeKalb County Airport.

Members meet on the third Saturday of each month at 9:00 AM. The meetings include a safety briefing and operational reviews. The club also plans picnics, tours and fly-ins. It says members include several ATP and commercial pilots, plus a club flight instructor and an A and P mechanic.

The website has a contact form, a phone number and a Facebook link for people who want to learn more about joining.
