Sterling Helicopter

Sterling Helicopter is a helicopter maintenance, engineering and parts company with its headquarters in Croydon, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1984 on the vision of chairman Jack Brown, a pilot and aviation enthusiast, it also operates the Penn's Landing heliport in Philadelphia and describes itself as Philadelphia's only heliport and helicopter repair station.

Facilities and brands

The Croydon repair shop offers over 30,000 square feet of hangar space and opened in 2006 after the business outgrew the Penn's Landing heliport. It includes a Bell Service Center, Airbus Service Center and Safran Certified Maintenance Center, with heavy support for Leonardo (Agusta), Sikorsky and MD helicopters. Partners named on the site include DART Aerospace, Technisonic, Genesis Aerosystems, Honeywell and StandardAero.

The company publishes air navigation information for both of its sites, with Croydon listed as PS01 and the Philadelphia heliport as P72, along with approach and departure charts. It lists its engineering, manufacturing, testing and quality functions on separate pages and invites enquiries by area of need, including maintenance, overhaul, avionics, engineering, parts and STCs.
