Outerlink Global Solutions provides communication solutions for aircraft and ground fleets. It is a first responder communications provider for machine to machine applications. These include voice, text, satellite tracking and efficiency diagnostics for fixed and rotor wing aircraft. Its customers also run ground, marine and utility mobile fleets.

The company was founded in 1992 as a satellite tracking provider for aviation service organizations. It has combined its long standing public safety experience into a mobile communications platform of integrated devices. These devices provide asset communications and tracking, field and fleet management, and computer aided dispatch integration.

The IRIS system is a U.S. patented combined voice, video and flight data recorder. It is fully integrated into a satellite communications platform. IRIS records large amounts of aircraft data, processes it on board and sends filtered data to communication centers or operational control centers every 10 seconds. It supports immediate communication air to ground, ground to air and air to air, with push to talk VoIP radio. IRIS is highly customized for rotorcraft and can use two satellite networks.

AXIS is a command and control platform and asset management dashboard. It shows the status and mission critical information of all aircraft in the field. Air IP provides high speed, uninterrupted internet connectivity for aircraft. The CP-3i Rev F comm port is mapping, tracking and dispatching software. It can send automatic MayDay activation and includes a lite flight data recorder.

Outerlink serves hundreds of air and ground customers. Its markets include EMS, police, first responder, military and parapublic organizations. The company holds STCs for several aviation models and holds U.S. patents on its IRIS system.
