Gyro-Stabilized Systems
ITAR-free gyro-stabilised gimbals, home of the Cineflex legacy
About Gyro-Stabilized Systems
Gyro-Stabilized Systems (GSS) designs and builds ITAR-free gyro-stabilised sensor platforms and gimbals for utility, public safety, broadcast, cinema and marine users. The company was founded by developers of the Cineflex broadcast gimbal and acquired Cineflex in 2017 to combine the two product lines. Its gimbals are designed and built in Grass Valley, California, with the company address at 104 New Mohawk Road, Nevada City. Mechanical, hardware, software and systems engineers work in-house, and sales and support partners cover Europe, Japan, South East Asia, Latin America and Africa.
What the systems do
GSS platforms carry thermal, ultraviolet and visible-light sensors with very long lenses on moving aircraft, vehicles and vessels, with always-on ergonomic controls and zoom capabilities of up to 46x. They integrate with GPS, inertial navigation and mapping applications for assisted or autonomous aerial inspection, and offer wired, wireless and V-LAN control options. GSS also provides design services to integrate new sensors and lenses as they appear, and emphasises customer support to keep systems flying.
