AIRWOLF AEROSPACE LLC

Airwolf Aerospace LLC is a manufacturer of aerospace parts and helicopter components in Middlefield, Ohio. The company designs, certifies and makes PMA and STC parts, and it improves on original parts wherever it can. Its aim is to lower direct operating costs for helicopter operators. The company has provided aviation value for more than 30 years.

Airwolf's best known product is the tension torsion strap, often called a TT strap. The company was the first to certify a PMA and STC tension torsion strap, and it extended a life limit that had stood for more than 30 years. Development of its Bell 206 strap took over seven years, and the straps have been in service since March 2011, with thousands installed.

The strap line covers Bell 206 helicopters in 36 month, 48 month and four year versions. It also covers Bell 204, 205, 210, 212 and UH-1 helicopters, with FAA, Transport Canada and ANAC Brazil approval for 36 months. Straps for Enstrom 480 helicopters are approved for 36 months, and piston Enstrom helicopters use 60 month straps.

Airwolf also makes an FAA PMA main mast bearing for the Bell 212 and a lithium ion helicopter battery STC kit. The battery kit is approved by EASA, the FAA, Transport Canada and ANAC Brazil. Some parts are DLA source approved.

Other products include rotor blade protective tape for R22 and R44 helicopters, PMA parts for the Hiller UH-12, tail rod end bearings for the S-61, and agricultural spray systems for the Robinson R44 and R22. The company also offers an STC to convert piston Enstrom helicopters to its straps.

The company says its straps are drop in replacements that need no aircraft modification. It pursued FAA STC so that EASA and other civil aviation authorities could validate the straps. Customers receive an STC permission statement with their invoice, and one can be created later if needed.

Key parts, including Bell 206 and Bell 204 to 214 straps, Enstrom straps and a Bell 212 main mast bearing, are held in stock for quick delivery. Customers can register their fleet information on the website.
