About Portside

Portside makes aviation management software. It connects scheduling, safety and financial tools into one system for operators. It supports more than 15,000 aircraft in over 40 countries and has more than 1,100 operators. It started in 2017, when its first product gave aircraft owners clear visibility into their aircraft's financial and operational data.

Flight operations tools include Avianis, BART, Horizon, Takeflite, PFM and FOS. Avianis connects aircraft management, charter sales, flight scheduling, crew coordination, dispatch and reporting in one workflow. It has open APIs and webhooks, so flight data can flow into other systems. BART gives charter and corporate teams one way to coordinate trips, from quoting through crew updates, flight records and reporting. Its CoPilot app gives pilots mobile access to schedules, trip updates, flight logs and expenses. Takeflite serves commercial and cargo airlines.

Safety and compliance tools are Baldwin SMS, RiskAssist and Manuals. Together they connect reporting, risk assessment, audits and corrective actions in one daily workflow. Training alerts are automated, and incident reporting is streamlined. Alaska Air Transit, Hilcorp Aviation and North Slope Borough adopted Baldwin SMS to replace paper based tracking, and Galaxy FBO used it to unify safety reporting across three sites in Texas.

Client management tools include the Owner Portal, Passenger Portal and Fractional and Jet Card Portal. The Owner Portal gives clients on demand access to trips, financials and maintenance updates. LeaseWorks, with its Asset and CRM tools, covers aircraft leasing and asset management. It tracks asset value, manages lease agreements and helps optimize fleet use.

Portside serves charter and fractional operators, aircraft management companies, private and corporate flight departments, regional airlines, air medical and medevac providers, and aircraft leasing companies. It also works with FBOs and leasing programs. Solutions are also organized by role, for directors of operations, schedulers and dispatchers, chief pilots, safety and compliance managers, finance and accounting managers, and lease and asset managers.

Customers include Wing Aviation, a Houston based charter management company with about 30 aircraft. After adopting Avianis and the Owner Portal, it cut days off monthly accounting. Koch Capabilities, a corporate flight department across multiple bases, replaced an older Citrix based scheduler with Horizon. Galaxy FBO, which runs a multi location network across Texas, standardized safety reporting with Baldwin SMS.

Portside grew by bringing together teams that had already worked in aviation operations for decades. Takeflite brought airline experience, and LeaseWorks brought leasing expertise. In March 2026, Portside announced new investment from Vista Equity Partners. Its suite now includes AI tools. Its team has a combined 2,750 years of aviation experience and 2,500 years of tech and SaaS experience.
