Peening Technologies

Peening Technologies offers shot peening, abrasive blasting and surface enhancement services. Its customers are in the aerospace, automotive and medical industries. The main office is in East Hartford, Connecticut.

The company explains shot peening on its site. It is a way of cold working the surface of a part. A spray of round shot makes tiny dents in the metal. This creates a layer of compressive stress that delays the start and growth of fatigue cracks. The site says peening can raise the fatigue life of a part by 2,000 percent or more in some cases.

The business runs several units. Peening Technologies of Connecticut is at 8 Eastern Park Road in East Hartford. A separate MRO unit is at 221 Burnham Street, and Peening Technologies Equipment Company is at 261 Burnham Street. All three use the phone number 860-289-4328. Peening Technologies of Georgia, Inc. is at 3117 Emery Circle in Austell, Georgia, with the phone number 770-941-9573.

The site says the company has long experience developing processes and has technical staff to support customer projects. It has pages for shot peening, shot peening services and equipment. The contact page mentions customers who want to service their equipment and customers who need help logging in to an account.

The website has a contact form and a newsletter sign up. The form asks how the visitor heard about the company, with choices such as internet search, industry event and existing customer.
