Goodyear Aviation is the aircraft tire business of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, headquartered at 200 Innovation Way in Akron, Ohio. Goodyear was founded in 1898 and describes itself as the maker of the first pneumatic aircraft tire, with more than 100 years in aviation. The division builds radial tires, bias tires and tubes for general aviation, commercial airline and military aircraft, and says it supplies more than 350 different types and sizes of aviation tires.
Products
- General aviation tire lines: Flight Custom III (a bias-ply tire with Kevlar) and Flight Special II, described on the site as the economical choice
- Business and light jet lines: Flight Eagle and Flight Eagle LT, the latter supplied for the Embraer Phenom 100 and 300
- Flight Radial, Flight Leader and Flight Mate lines for commercial and other applications
- Inner tubes and retread products
Goodyear sells aviation tires through aircraft parts distributors and FBOs; the site asks buyers to contact a distributor for pricing and availability. The site also lists tire rebates and a tire warranty.
