FlyBuddy

FlyBuddy is a passenger app for airports. It calls itself a connected platform for airport navigation, real-time alerts, trip support and passenger rights. The site was founded by three travellers, named as Sean O'Sullivan, Eoin McNamara and Michael Murphy. The homepage invites visitors to join a waitlist.

The app has six main features. Proactive flight alerts send push messages for gate changes, delays, cancellations and boarding calls. Universal wayfinding offers four modes, AR, blue line, audio and sensory, to guide users through any terminal. An AI chatbot answers questions about flights, airports and gates. A compensation feature explains passenger rights rules, including EU261 and US DOT rules. A smart itinerary gathers flights, connections and airport information in one place. An airport services feature suggests lounges, food and shops nearby.

Using the app takes four steps. Users add their trip by uploading booking confirmations and boarding passes. They then get directions to gates, lounges, baggage claim and services. The app gives live directions during the visit and gentle prompts to help the user reach the gate on time. One-tap actions include ordering ahead, booking a lounge and calling for assistance.

The homepage cites figures such as 47 minutes wasted per trip, 73 percent of people concerned about the airport experience and 4.7 billion passengers a year. The contact page gives separate addresses for support, partnerships and press, and promises a reply within one business day. A help center with questions and answers is linked.
