Fly High Lexington

Fly High Lexington is the full-service fixed base operator at Davidson County Executive Airport (KEXX), 1673 Aviation Way in Lexington, North Carolina, in the central Piedmont region with easy access to Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point and less than an hour from Charlotte. Run by aviators serving aviators, including pilots, student pilots and military veterans, the FBO follows a no fees with fuel approach, with no facility fees on a minimum fuel purchase, no landing fees and competitive regional fuel prices, and is a CAA preferred FBO accepting contract fuel.

Airport facilities

• A repaved and grooved 5,000 foot runway with widened taxiway connectors and PCR 369, a MALSR approach lighting system and precision ILS, LOC and RNAV (GPS) approaches to runways 06 and 24
• A seven-acre apron, ground power unit, full maintenance services on site, 60 by 60 foot corporate hangars and new 10,000 square foot corporate hangars
• Greensboro approach and departure control on 118.5

FBO amenities and services

• Complimentary coffee and ice, guest Wi-Fi, a lounge, a separate pilot lounge with flight planning facilities and a shower, big-screen TVs, a kitchenette and a conference room
• Part 135 charter by JEM Aviation, a flying club and an FAA examiner on the field
• Sky Aircraft Maintenance, which is expanding at KEXX with double shifts and additional hangars after serving aircraft from 37 US states in 2024, making the airport a growing business jet maintenance hub
• The Fly High Lexington Motoring Expo and a Wings of Grace chapter based at the airport

Community

The FBO publishes a quarterly newsletter and blog with airport news and local stories, from outdoor adventures in Lexington to a barbecue fly-around across North Carolina, and asks pilots for feedback on what they like in an FBO. It is a member of the National Business Aviation Association and encourages customers to vote for it as a CAA preferred FBO.
