First Aviation Services

First Aviation Services Inc. is based in Westport, Connecticut. It was established in June 1995 by First Equity Group and has grown by acquiring aerospace companies with engineering and manufacturing capability. Its operating subsidiaries provide aircraft parts manufacturing, aircraft component repair and overhaul, rotables management and related engineering services to the aviation industry worldwide. The company states that it has five FAA approved Part 145 repair facilities and three FAA Parts Manufacturing Approvals (PMA).

• Aerospace Turbine Rotables, Inc.: Wichita, Kansas and Addison, Texas; overhaul and repair of landing gear, hydraulics, electronics, structures and safety equipment for corporate and military aircraft
• Associated Aircraft Manufacturing and Sales, Inc.: Fort Lauderdale, Florida; manufacture and repair of military aircraft landing gear and advanced electronics, with over 120 Department of Defense source approvals
• Aviation Blade Services, Inc.: Kissimmee, Florida and Anderson, California; depot-level rotor blade repair, including support for the Sikorsky fleet and other helicopter platforms through Heliblade International
• Master Support, Inc.: Kissimmee, Florida; FAA PMA subsidiary

Piedmont Propulsion Systems

Piedmont specialises in propeller maintenance and overhaul. It says it holds FAA Propeller Class 1 and 2 and EASA repair station ratings for Dowty, Hamilton and Hartzell propellers, is an authorised Hartzell service center, and is the only facility with FAA and EASA certification to overhaul all ATR and Dash 8 / Q400 propeller types. Rotary Wing Group

The Rotary Wing Group began in 2019 with the acquisition of Aviation Blade Services and Master Support. Rotor blade work covers main and tail rotor blades for Sikorsky, Bell, Airbus and Leonardo helicopters.
