DeGroff Aviation Technologies

DeGroff Aviation Technologies is a US manufacturer of aircraft safety equipment that has combined product development with pilot experience since 1985 to create engineered safety solutions for corporate, commercial and general aviation, designed for pilots by pilots. Its products are made from quality materials and manufactured domestically, and the company says it is the first and only maker of self-disengaging pitot probe covers, preventing burnt-up or fouled pitot tubes in maintenance and rejected take-off incidents on the runway.

PitotShield and PitotShield V2

• Auto-releasing pitot tube covers for commercial, business, defence and general aviation aircraft, with PitotShield for general aviation pilots and the PitotShield V2 SmartCover for corporate and commercial operators
• Multiple modes of automatic disengagement that reduce the risk of human error in the hangar and during pre-flight checks, adding redundancy to air data system protection
• Intended to enhance operational safety and cut maintenance costs caused by century-old legacy pitot covers, from a student pilot in a Cessna 172 to a long-haul operator flying New York to London

Other products

• Informational and warning streamers, banners and streamers for remove-before-flight and ground safety use
• Navigation light reflectors, aircraft tie-downs and aircraft retention products, and Handy Chocks
• Cockpit organisation products and accessories within a wider line of basic aviation safety equipment
