About Aero Dynamix

Aero Dynamix, Inc. makes night vision imaging system (NVIS) cockpit lighting for civil and military aircraft. It was founded in 1994. The company works on integrated NVIS lighting solutions that let a cockpit be read both at night and in daylight.

The company says it holds over 30 multi ship NVG supplemental type certificates (STCs) that cover more than 40 aircraft model types. It also holds numerous EASA and other foreign STC validations. Aero Dynamix says it has certified thousands of NVG cockpits worldwide.

Its products include edge lit panels, which are made in house using laser etching, CNC machining, silk screen and laser marking, plus a robotic paint facility. Its instrument panel overlays provide white or NVIS compatible lighting to a group of instruments. Other work covers instrument lighting, radio and control head lighting, and NVG compatible external lighting, including cargo bay lights.

Aero Dynamix also modifies avionics for night vision. The website names Garmin, Honeywell and Rockwell Collins avionics. Its helicopter work covers Bell, Airbus, Leonardo, MD Helicopters, Sikorsky, Robinson and Erickson models, and it offers NVG cockpit lighting for Cessna aircraft.

The company sells, services and repairs night vision goggles and offers NVG flight training through partners. It runs authorized installation and repair centers. Aero Dynamix says it has thousands of FAA approved modification procedures, and a Designated Engineering Representative reviews all drawings and modifications.

The company has about 100 staff. In house teams cover engineering, research and development, manufacturing, quality assurance and certification. Aero Dynamix says its NVG modified cockpits do not compromise the factory warranty.
