Champion Door

Champion Door makes fabric fold-up doors for aircraft hangars and other large openings. The doors are designed and made in Finland and are used in more than 60 countries.

The doors lift vertically and fold up like a fabric blind. A multi-leaf lifting post system means there is no limit on width or height. The company says they suit anything from a single-aircraft bay for helicopters to an A380 maintenance hangar. The doors need little structural support and no floor tracks. They have few wear parts, so the company says they cost little to own over their life.

The doors are built for hard winters. The company says they block wind, dust, heat and cold and so help keep working conditions steady. Others are arctic-condition doors for Widerøe in Norway and a maintenance hangar door at Job Air Technic in Ostrava.

Outside aviation, Champion Door builds heavy industry doors. The range covers shipyard doors, industrial doors, craneway doors and mine doors. A new high speed door has been added. Buyers can choose fabrics, colours, safety options and controls, and there are smart door features.

The company also sells services. These include project management from design to installation, warranty cover, and annual maintenance contracts in three service tiers. A cloud system called CD Cloud lets owners manage doors from a distance. The company says it handles each project from design through installation and care.

The company's quality marks include ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

Recent news says Champion Door is growing its distribution network in Finland. It also plans to attend MRO Europe 2026 in Amsterdam from 27 to 29 October.
