Matzen & Timm

Matzen and Timm is a German manufacturer of technical hoses, bellows, sleeves and moulded flexible connecting parts made from synthetic rubber, supplying certified parts to the aviation, defence, automotive and rail industries. The company is headquartered in Norderstedt near Hamburg, where development, engineering and quality assurance are based, and is part of the Masterflex Group, which employs more than 600 people worldwide. Production takes place in Norderstedt and at Masterflex Cesko in Plana, Czech Republic, with a new plant at Masterduct Morocco in the MIDPARC free zone near Casablanca supplying moulded parts, bellows and hoses from 2026. Almost all products are customer-specific, from single pieces and prototypes to series production.

Aviation products

• Spiral-wire reinforced hoses and rectangular bellows with metal flanges, reinforcing rings and frames for environmental control systems
• Pre-formed T-pieces, Y-pieces, moulded parts and special hoses for vacuum toilet systems, drainage and galley cooling and ventilation
• Insulated and uninsulated hoses, spiral corrugated hoses, bellows and moulded parts for air distribution systems including passenger service units
• Fuel drain hoses adapted to the installation, sewn noise-reducing insulation, cable protection, de-icing, cooling and ventilation parts, extruded profiles and electrically conductive hoses
• High-temperature exhaust bellows for APU systems, shrouds and compensators for fuel lines
• High-temperature and pressure-resistant bellows, elbows and special hoses with metal flanges for bleed air systems

All aviation parts meet FAR/JAR 25.853(b) and ATS 100.001/ABD 0031, and Matzen and Timm is qualified by Airbus Germany as a QSF-C supplier. The company is certified to EN 9100:2016 and received the Airbus SQIP Best Improver award for delivery performance and quality at a supplier conference in Toulouse.

Other markets

For automotive customers the company makes silicone hoses, bellows, turbocharger hoses in straight and angled versions, and silicone-polyester cooling water hoses used in commercial vehicles, buses, sports cars and motorsport, including DTM and the Le Mans and Nurburgring 24-hour races.
