TrellisWare Technologies develops algorithms, waveforms and communications systems, from small form factor radios to fully integrated solutions. Its focus is interoperable and resilient networking for military, commercial, government, public safety and uncrewed markets.

The company offers what it describes as the largest selection of interoperable MANET radios, powered by its TSM and Katana waveforms, across a wide partner ecosystem. Its radios provide UHF, L band and S band frequencies on a single radio, the widest range of form factors for extreme conditions, and commercial and NSA certified encryption options.

Radio models include the TW Shadow 950 and 750, the TW 145 digital radio head, the TW Shadow 135 HPR, the TW Spirit 860 and the TW Ghost 875. Embeddable modules include the TW 310 datalink module, the Ghost 881, 880 and 870 and the Shadow 650 core board.

Waveforms include TSM, Narrowband Line of Sight, Katana NB and WB, and WREN NB and TSM. They carry simultaneous voice, data, video and position location information. True software defined radio waveforms can run on radios from different partners, and the architecture supports future technology insertion.

Advanced capabilities include Barrage Relay, free space optics and interference cancellation. Software includes the TrellisWare Network Controller, the TSM management and download tools, TW Connect and a configuration plugin for ATAK. The Trellis Sphere programme positions the waveforms as an interoperability standard for partner platforms, sensors and systems.

The company's recent news includes a 2026 AUSA exhibit, its 10th annual working group meeting, and a FIPS 140-3 Level 2 certification for its secure MANET communications. Its markets are government and defence, commercial, public safety and international, and it is based in San Diego.
