DroneShield

DroneShield is an Australian counter-drone company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX:DRO) since 2016. Its site says it was founded in 2014 with a single focus, countering the threat posed by drones, and that its work has grown from early RF sensing and electronic warfare technologies into a counter-UAS portfolio covering RF intelligence, artificial intelligence, sensor fusion and software. Engineering, manufacturing and support are spread across Australia, the United States and Europe, with an in-country partner network around the world.

Products and approach

• RfPatrol Mk2, a wearable RF detection product for mobile use
• Expeditionary Fixed Site (EFS) Kit: a modular and scalable defence solution for threat management at a site
• RfRecon, which uses ADS-B and AIS data to filter out legitimate aircraft and vessels so operators can focus on the signal that matters
• Counter-UAS command and control software, built so that operators can detect, track and defeat threats from one interface

The company says each solution combines advanced sensing, proprietary signal processing and adaptive AI. It describes the systems as built for on-the-move use and rapid deployment.
