SPINNER
RF rotary joints and components for radar, space and test since 1946

About SPINNER
The SPINNER Group is a family-owned German manufacturer of radio frequency technology products, headquartered at Erzgiessereistrasse 33 in Munich. Founded in 1946 as a one-man garage operation, it has grown into a mid-sized international enterprise with about 830 employees, production facilities in Germany, Hungary and China, and subsidiaries and representatives in more than 40 countries. The company values its German location and works closely with universities and with its customers' development departments.
Products
- Rotating solutions: RF rotary joints from single-channel coaxial units to complex multi-channel joints, fibre optic rotary joints with up to 109 channels, hybrid rotary joints that combine optical couplings, slip rings, media feedthroughs for air and coolants, encoders and contactless Fast Ethernet transmitters, plus repair and maintenance of rotary couplings from all manufacturers; dedicated brochures cover rotary joints for air traffic control radar, space applications and FPSO swivels
- Test and measurement components covering frequencies from a few kilohertz to 250 GHz, including precision adapters, measurement accessories and solutions for anechoic chambers
- Mobile communications: passive RF components from base station to antenna, in-building wireless solutions, surge protectors and DC breaks
- Broadcast components and systems for DTV, DAB and FM transmitter infrastructure
SPINNER's RF rotary couplings are designed for low insertion loss, stable transmission during rotation and high crosstalk attenuation between channels, and its contactless optical and electronic rotary joints are presented as fail-safe and maintenance-free alternatives to slip rings. Product details are listed in an online product finder and PDF catalogues.
