HENSOLDT

HENSOLDT is a European defence and security electronics company based in Taufkirchen, near Munich, Germany. It builds sensors, radars, electronic warfare systems, optronics, avionics and integrated systems for air, land, sea, cyber and space. It was formed in 2017 from the sensor business of Airbus Defence and Space, with roots going back to Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm.

What HENSOLDT does

• Radar: airborne surveillance radars, airspace surveillance radars such as ASR-NG and secondary radars for air traffic control
• Electronic warfare: missile warners such as MILDS F for fighters and AMPS self-protection for helicopters, laser warners such as ALTAS 2QB
• Optronics: airborne electro-optical systems such as ARGOS
• Avionics: airborne computers, mission management and crash recorders
• Multi-domain solutions: system integration that is independent of the equipment maker

Services

HENSOLDT Services supports equipment over its whole life: integrated product support, maintenance, repair and overhaul, field service, simulation and training. The HENSOLDT Academy offers more than 100 courses for operators and technicians, in classrooms, online and as e-learning.

Where it works

Headquarters in Taufkirchen, Germany, with service in Ulm. Sites in South Africa (Irene, Pretoria, Cape Town and Stellenbosch), and offices in Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East and North America. The product catalogue lists more than 220 products.
