About Spectro Jet-Care

Spectro Jet-Care is an independent laboratory group that analyses oil, fuel and other fluids for aviation, industrial and marine customers. It also monitors the health of aircraft gas turbine engines. The site says the company is privately owned and has labs in the United Kingdom, Switzerland and the United States.

The business began in 1976 when David Glass founded Spectro. Its first lab opened at Fairoaks airport in Surrey and gave oil analysis to aviation clients. The Jet-Care trend monitoring service by Gas Path Analysis began in 1981. A lab opened in New Jersey in 1996 as Jet-Care International. A Swiss lab followed near Basel in 2000, under the name Spectro Oil AG.

Gas Path Analysis lets operators track and trend engine condition. The site says the programme monitors about 14,000 engines around the clock and supports clients in more than 140 countries. Laboratory services cover oil analysis, hydraulic analysis, fuel analysis, and debris and filter analysis. The company also sells sample kits for aviation, industrial and marine use.

The stated mission is to give accurate, reliable and prompt analysis to clients who run equipment in the air, at sea and on the ground. The company says analysis helps clients spot problems early and avoid major overhauls and unplanned maintenance. Staff include chemists, laboratory technicians and engineers.

The contact page has a form with separate routes for the UK, US and Swiss teams. Enquiry types cover aviation lab analysis, engine trend monitoring, marine and industrial work. A separate page handles out of hours sample requests, and a careers page is linked.
