Sky X Aviation

Sky X Aviation is a full-service FBO at Hammond Northshore Regional Airport (KHDC) in Hammond, Louisiana. It also offers aircraft maintenance, aircraft management, charter flights and aircraft sales. The company serves the greater Gulf region and works mainly with private and corporate aviation.

Sky X began by providing mobile maintenance for private and corporate aircraft. It saw a need for a wider range of flight services. To meet demand for concierge maintenance and flight support, it moved into a new hangar and facilities at Hammond. Its stated mission is to become the Gulf region's first vertically integrated full-service aviation company.

The FBO handles ground handling, refuelling and maintenance support. Passengers can relax in a lounge, and the team arranges catering and ground transport. The hangars and maintenance areas have advanced tools and an experienced staff.

The maintenance shop is FAA and DOT approved and holds a repair station certificate. Work includes scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, hourly, cycle and calendar inspections, pre-purchase inspections, sheet metal and composite repair, engine work and avionics repair and installation. It also covers hydraulic and TKS servicing, oxygen and nitrogen service, battery tests, records research and airworthiness directive checks. The company supports jets, turboprops and piston aircraft, and it offers AOG support around the clock. It lists makers it supports such as Cessna, Cirrus, Dassault, Eclipse, Gulfstream, Hawker, Piper, Pilatus and Beechcraft.

Aircraft management covers scheduling, cost control, crew coordination and safety monitoring. Sky X also offers aircraft sales, acquisitions and fractional ownership. For sales, it offers market analysis, listing and full transaction support from valuation to final inspection.

The charter side flies a King Air B200. It carries up to eight passengers, has a range of 1,500 nautical miles and offers Wi-Fi. Its short-field ability lets it reach more airports than a jet can. The company says more aircraft will join the fleet soon.
